In-person Event
Anchored in the Beijing Platform for Action’s ‘Women and the Economy’ focus, this CSW side event will showcase how inclusive public finance systems can dismantle barriers for women and girls, especially from traditionally excluded communities. We will feature social movements that are generating community evidence to shift incentives and drive reforms in how public resources are raised and spent. The discussion will consider how feminist movements can leverage evidence-based budget advocacy to drive gender equity despite closing civic space and other organizing challenges worldwide. Co-hosts include the Senegalese Federation of Inhabitants/UrbaSEN, Himpunan Wanita Disabilitas Indonesia, CIVICUS and Equal Measures 2030.
