Representatives from 52 African countries gathered in Abuja, Nigeria to discuss sustainable development within the framework of the Integrated National Financing Frameworks Facility and the regional budget transparency initiative. The African INFF community joined with other senior decision makers to share their experiences in drafting Financing Strategies, setting up Sustainable Development Goals Financing Dialogues and implementing open budget reforms. The event also discussed emerging topics like disaster risk management and the green/climate agenda. Conversations also explored fiscal decentralization, and fostering a human-centered and green recovery amidst multiple shocks (the pandemic, climate events, conflict, macroeconomic volatility, and fiscal austerity).
