The Association for Emancipation, Solidarity and Equality of Women – ESE develops and helps the women’s and civic leadership in the development and implementation of human rights and social justice in Macedonian society. ESE is guided by its dedication in seeking solutions to the problems. ESE is particularly committed to working in the field of promotion and advancement of health rights and women’s human rights and is focused on two goals – working on the urgent needs of women and exercising influence on the creation of sustainable and long-term changes. ESE also provides legal and paralegal assistance enabling citizens to exercise their rights and change the conditions in which they live. On an international level ESE pursues its advocacy work through the preparation and submission of “shadow reports” and other types of documents for the implementation of human rights treaties before international bodies.
