Andrés Ponce Morales

Program Officer

Andrés joined the International Budget Partnership as a Program Officer in 2020. He contributes to the Training, Technical Assistance & Networking (TTAN) team’s efforts for strengthening civil society capacities to perform analysis and advocacy on public finance and fiscal justice issues in order to hold governments accountable and advance social justice.

Prior to IBP, Andrés gained experience in the private sector, and researched the fiscal regulation of the local level in Europe for a joint project between the Bertelsmann Stiftung and the Hertie School. Before that, he served for several years in the prosecution division of the Supreme Audit Institution in Chile, where he investigated the administrative responsibility of public servants and the mismanagement of public funds. He holds a M.A. in Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin, a B.A. in Public Administration from Universidad de Valparaíso de Chile and a Diploma in Administrative Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
