Asaa is an Economist, Data Analyst, and Researcher based in Accra, Ghana, with a deep passion for data analysis, statistical software, and strategic planning. As Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, she focuses on measurement and monitoring, bringing extensive expertise in evidence-based decision-making, data collection methodologies, and program evaluation to drive adaptive programming and organisational learning. Her work includes establishing baselines, monitoring and updating logframes, and supporting initiative reviews, reflections, and other learning activities.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana and an MSc in Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Administration and Policy Management at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), where her research explores the critical role of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in achieving sustainable development, measuring progress, identifying challenges, and informing policy decisions.
Before joining IBP in 2025, Asaa worked at the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), contributing to key initiatives such as the Leading from the South program, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Komboa, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; and KASA, funded by the Ford Foundation. She has also worked with Junior Achievement (JA) Africa and JA Ghana, supporting Knowledge Management and M&E teams in implementing programs and streamlining data collection and analysis processes.
