Matel Sow joined International Budget Partnership in February 2023 as a Program Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning program associate. However, she started supporting International Budget Partnership Senegal ever since the SPARK program started back in 2019 as a research and community mobilization assistant. She supported bolstering the capacity of social movements to engage fully in budget advocacy. Her role includes participating in processes of continuously improving the SPARK Senegal PMEL systems, to ensure that it captures different types of information in order to improve the efficiency and impact of programming. Matel holds a master’s degree in political science at Institut Superieur de Management de Dakar. She has previously worked at Enda Graf Sahel as an intern at the sexual reproduction program.
