Tracy Jooste is the Head of Special Programs at International Budget Partnership South Africa. She works alongside grassroots organisations to advocate for dignified access to water, sanitation, and solid waste services in informal settlements. She established a pioneering initiative advocating for gender-responsive procurement and female-friendly basic services, and she leads the Asivikelane Health campaign. Prior to joining IBP, she held leadership positions in government, civil society, and the private sector. Tracy holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Cape Town and she is a Senior Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity at LSE.
